**Author's note: please excuse the formatting issues. For some reason some of the paragraphs near the bottom of the list have weird spacing and appear grey instead of black and absolutely nothing I do seems to fix the issue.
Revy (Black Lagoon)
Revy, AKA Rebecca Lee, grew up in the mean streets of China Town. Abused by an alcoholic father, Revy has always known a tough life. One fateful day, she was arrested, beaten, and raped by a police officer. It traumatized her for life and caused her to distrust all authority. As a result of her traumatic experience, Revy becomes a psychotic, dual pistol wielding maniac known as two hands in the toughest city in the world: Roanapur. She puts her skills to use by joining the crew of the Black Lagoon, a gang of pirates, and spends her days lootin' and shootin' her way to infamy.
Date Advice: Revy is a nihilistic psychopath who murders to keep down the troubled emotions of her youth. Dater beware, she tends to flip out and go on indiscriminate shooting sprees every once in a while. Please notice how the word indiscriminate was used; as in, you should keep your head down when she's in one of her 'moods'. It's probably best to avoid arguments with this chick. An excellent date idea would be to shove a gun into her hand and join her as you rampage in your local neighborhoods. Just don't be a cop. You'll find yourself riddled with bullets if you show her a badge.
Lucy (Elfen Lied)
If you think our last candidate had issues, wait until you get a load of this one fellas! Lucy (AKA Kaede) isn't even human: She's a diclonius, a newly evolved species who share many similarities with humans. The key differentiation between the two species is that a diclonius possesses psychokinetic abilities that pretty much allows them to rip people apart as easily as a fat man rips into a buffet. From her perspective, she was abandoned as a child by her parents. In reality, however, her father had left her in the woods as a baby as her mother searched desperately for her, to no avail. Eventually, Lucy's mother is captured and raped by a really bad dude. She is forced to bear an unwanted son as a result, and she killed herself promptly afterwards. Talk about a troubled past. Lucy tends to rip her victims apart limb by limb with her psychokinetic abilities when her temper is triggered.
Date advice: Lucy has had a very troubled childhood. She's not exactly an evil person, she's just misunderstood. Not everyone has the ability to rip things apart with invisible hands that appear with a mere thought. It's just that the general public, and evil scientists, just haven't come around to accepting her kind yet. Try to empathize with her and redirect her misguided rage towards a constructive activity. Take origami for instance, or even cooking! If you're really trying to impress her, you can even buy her a puppy. But for the love of God don't let anything happen to that animal. Bad things happen will happen. Very bad things will happen.
Kotonoha Katsura (school days)
Okay fellas, this one is a bit tamer then our first two candidates. On the surface, Kotonoha Katsura is your typical Japanese school girl. She has a good education, a gentle temperament, and a rather shy personality. Her wealthy parents have always made sure that she and her little sister have lived cushy life styles, which is typically illustrated by the designer clothing that Katsura sports when she is out and about on the town. Her sheltered life style seems to have attributed to her developing a fear of the opposite sex.
Katsura breaks out of her shell and begins to date a fellow named Makoto Ito. Though things were a bit awkward in the beginning due to her fear of men, the two begin to click rather well. That's when Ito decides to cheat on her and Katsura's sheltered, fragile psyche completely snaps and she freaking cuts off the dudes head and that's only after murdering Ito's other love interest by cutting her open to see if she was carrying his child. Katsura was last seen sailing away while cradling Ito's severed head lovingly to her chest.
Date advice: Prepare to take to the high seas fellas. If you can track her down, Katsura is going to be pretty shy, especially due to the fact that her mind has been shattered into a thousand and one pieces, so take it slow and approach her with caution. Be like a ranch hand who would approach a skittish horse who drop-kicks any one who approaches it too aggressively. Also, take into account that she just had a pretty bad breakup, and her ex keeps sticking his head into her life every once in a while. So, get ready for some drama. She's used to having nice things, you know, because she's freaking rich, o if you're lacking in the money department you had best keep on steppin'. She's probably not looking for a down grade fellas.Treat her nice, make sure you don't break that touch barrier too early, and whatever you do, never, ever cheat on her. You'll be short a head if you do. Just ask her ex.
Ophelia (claymore)
Not much is known about Ophelia. As the fourth most powerful member of the all-female warrior organization called the Claymores, Ophelia, along with her fellow sister warriors, have been tasked to battle and defeat the monstrous Yoma threat.
Ophelia has a very troubled past. Her older brother sacrificed himself to save her when she was just a little girl from an insanely powerful Claymore named Priscilla who lost control of her abilities and essentially transformed into an "awakened being" (which is pretty much a Yoma on steroids). Through hard work and determination (good traits to have--am I right, fellas?), she becomes one of the most powerful members of her organization.
This, unfortunately, is where the praise ends. Ophelia has a sadistic streak that will give even the most determined guy doubts. She enjoys inflicting pain on her foes, and apparently has developed a taste for blood, a disturbing similarity to the Claymore lifelong enemy, the Yoma. Her sadism is completely nondiscriminatory, due to the fact that she inflicts pain upon friends and foes alike. Ophelia also doesn't take too kindly to weak willed individuals who sacrifice themselves to protect the weak. A possible reference to her own brother's sacrifice, perhaps?
Date Advice: Okay fellas, this one is going to be a little tough. To win Opelia's heart, you're probably going to have to mutilate a few of her friends together. The more cruel and disgusting you are, the more points you're going to win with this chick. Don't be weak around her. She clearly misses her brother and she doesn't need to be reminded of his oh-so-very heroic sacrifice. In fact, it's best not to mention your siblings at all in your ice breaker conversations. Ophelia only respects strength. If you think about it, if she had been strong enough when she was a little girl, she would have totally have wrecked that Yoma and she would have grown up to be a school teacher or something. So, be that strong, sadistic, douche bag she desperately needs in her life. And, I repeat, don't be weak around her. She might start decapitating body parts if you slip up.
Yuno Gasai (Mirrai Nikki)
Yuno Gasai, also known as the queen of yanderes, will be your greatest challenge, fellas. If you can successfully court this one, then nothing, my friends, nothing will be able to stand in your way.
Yuno was adopted by her step-parents when she was just a wee girl with her only memory of her original parents is her dried up umbilical cord they left to her. Clearly, they were very loving people. *rolls eyes* Over time, Yuno began to face domestic abuse. Her step mother would lock her away for hours in a cage, and feeding her things that not even ravenous dogs would touch. Her step father practically lived at his job, barely having any interaction with his family what-so-ever. He was aware of Yuno's mistreatment by his wife, but he did nothing to stop the abuse. Eventually, Yuno traps her parents in the very cage that served as her prison and neglects to feed them. Thus they starve. At this point, her mind splits down the middle, and she goes insane (I think we're seeing a trend here).
To claim that she was obsessed over her first boyfriend would be the understatement of the century. She practically worshiped the guy. Unfortunately, her devotion manifested itself in the form of killing sprees, manipulation, torture, and even the kidnapping and drugging of the guy himself, Yuki, just to ensure that he would never leave her. At least you'll never have to question her devotion.
Date advice: Yuno just wants what every other pretty pink little princess wants: To be loved by her prince charming. Just take her to the movies, hold her hand, go out to dinner, etc, and pray that you don't attract the attention of other females. If they even so much as glance in your attention then you'll probably notice Yuno politely excuse herself to go the bathroom and return about 30 minutes later with a venomous glint in her eye. The female who dared to check you out will be on the 8 o' clock news the next day as having gone missing. Give it a week and her dismembered body will show up in different parts of the city. Just show Yuno that you love her and only her. She will track down the competition and murder them. Literally. And then she'll drug you so you can't move, and then you two can live happily ever after for ever and ever and ever. Well, she'll be happy. You'll be in a catatonic state and wishing she'd put a bullet in your head to just to stop the never ending madness.
Minatsuki Takami (Deadman Wonderland)
Minatsuki Takami is a soft-spoken shy girl who would be a rather lovely companion to take home to your mother...is what she'd like you to think. She's actually a compulsive liar who experiences sexual pleasure from causing harm to others. To understand Takami is to understand her past.
When Takami was a little girl, a catastrophic earthquake rocked her city. She becomes trapped in her mother's greenhouse as the earthquake rips the structure apart. Her mother suddenly comes running in, but to Takami's horror, instead of coming to rescue her trapped daughter, she grabs a plant and goes running off, leaving Takami to die. The stunned child survives the incident, but her mind becomes warped in the worst of ways because of it.
The earthquake causes a strange chain reaction that causes a few people to weaponize their own blood. This ability, called the branch of sin, soon manifests itself in Takami's own body. With the whole "being abandoned by her mother for a plant" incident fresh on her mind, Takami begins telling habitual lies whilst hiding her powers from the world. One day, Takami ends up murdering her father with her new found abilities, and lands a place within the most dangerous prison in the world: Deadman Wonderland.
Date Advice: Okay fellas, you're going to have to deal with the fact that Takami is a liar, but it's really not her fault. You have to realize that her mother abandoned her for a bloody plant. I think you'd tell a lie or two if you realized that your love came second to a life form whose existence relied upon photosynthesis. She's really a sweet girl. She can be shy, timid, and vulnerable. And that's great for a big, strong man like yourself to swoop in and comfort her. Of course, it's all an act. She's probably just trying to leverage the situation in her favor. You're going to want to visit her during visiting hours at Deadman Wonderland due to the fact that she's locked up for the long haul. Try to send her money, so that she could get that good stuff at the commissary and you'll be sure to score some points. Heck, if you're lucky, you might score some action at the next conjugal visit. Just don't bring her flowers. It's reasonable to assume that she still has a sore spot when it comes to plants.
Haman Karn (Gundam series)
If you fellas are looking for an ambitious sugar mama, Haman Karn is the one for you. She's the daughter of an admiral who led an exodus from the Zeon Empire to an asteroid called Axis. Haman was called to leadership at the tender age of 16 after her father died. Impressively, she has proven herself a very capable Gundam pilot. An impressive track record, am I right fellas? You won't find a more refined and regal example of womanhood. Haman gives inspiring speeches, literally smashes foes in her mobile suit, the AMX-004 Qubeley, and possesses mental abilities that give her heightened senses in battle. On the surface, Haman appears to be a refined and collected leader with an absence of emotion, but if you peel back her many layers, you'll find a cold-blooded, ambitious, manipulative person who uses even her closest supporters for her own nefarious means and simply tosses them aside at her convenience.
Date Advice: This will be a massive under taking my friends. Have you ever courted a queen? Sure, she's not actually a queen, more of a hardcore regent turned dictator, but her ego is definitely as massive as her mobile suit, so you might as well just start calling her “your highness” from the start. If you want to score with this chick, you're going to have to conquer her foes and present their heads on a silver platter all while bowing before her on one knee of course. Haman is used to being dominant at all times. Just do what she tells you to do. No, excuse me: Do what she orders you to do, and the two of you should get along swimmingly. Try taking her for a stroll in your mobile suit. Yeah, she only digs guys who own mobile suits. You should ask the last two guys she had a crush on...though she did try to kill them both. We'll just ignore that last part. Everyone has personality flaws, right?
Annie Leonhart (Attack on Titan)
